Unifying Opposites:

2nd try with unifying opposite objects such as skewers and Bristol Board.

This is the process I took to get to my final project. In this project, we had to take the materials listed and some how unify them in an articulate way. We had a little boundery, when normally we have no restrictions, to what our final project can have. We are learning a little bit of creativity is designl. Design dosn't just have a lot of ideas put into one. It has a lot of ideas simplified, meaning you start with a lot of ideas, but you have to decide which ideas will create a uniquely designed peice.

Our blind contour drawings, done in our sketchbooks. I really enjoy contour drawings and sketches. These have become one of my favorite forms of art. I also like the idea of lack of control in my artwork. Most people want to control what they draw and know that it will turn out looking like an art piece. While in blind contour drawings the pencil is in control and you can not control what you draw because you can't look at it. Overall I like this type of art.

One of our assignments. The Julius Building across from the Art Studio Center, and the Graham Building. It was a challenging assignmet, it took alot of time and took alot of thinking. We had to think about space, porportion and demitions of the structure. Overall it was a good assignmet, and fun.

The image presented is two natural artifacts connected together by a single linear object.

I this exercise, I learned to appreciate nature as an art. I also learned about, ideas, concepts, and strategies to make a designed piece unique.

This assignment was challenging, yet fun and creative. Although the assignment was difficult, I used Tommy's methods of design and created this piece.
